If shopping online, use code TSA25DEAL. If shopping in store, I've attached a printable coupon.

Guns, ammo, and optics are excluded as usual, but it's good for accessories.

yeah a couple months ago i went to the new one to find it didnt have anything, so i then drove to the old one to find all the gun cases gone and in the place of the hunting section was all air soft crap.

Darn, I keep getting Sports Authority and Sportsmen's Warehouse mixed up. Cut off the coupon download halfway through when I discovered the coupon wasn't for the "good guys."

I haven't even thought of going into a Sports Authority store since the day I walked into the one on McCaslin Boulevard and found they had no more firearms sales.

Feh! on them. Feh! I say.

The local SA store here on Maui sells a few rifles and shotguns. They also have a selection of gun safes. A buddy of mine is managing the hunting & fishing department so he is bringing quite a few accessories and even ammo (too bad the coupon doesn't work with ammo sales). I just might stop by and buy me a new pair of sunglasses:D.

ETA:
Didn't find any sunglasses I liked but found a couple cool casual shirts I liked.

Where's "here?"

No offense personally, mauiglide, but it always bugs me that folks don't give some approximate indication of their locale when they report a local event. I don't mean home address or anything, or as vague as northern versus southern hemisphere, but, you know, even the state would help.

I might infer Hawaii. But that would only be a guess.

I actually had a Sports Authority (on Long Island) refuse to sell me a gun. It was a display model and they had no more of that model in storage. The manager wouldn't sell it since he was afraid I'd try to return it. I had already checked the gun over, there's not much that can break on a bolt action Savage.

I asked the manager what was the point of having a gun in the rack if he wasn't going to sell it. He said it was there to show customers the kind of guns Sports Authority carried. He violated every principle of salesmanship my RadioShack manager taught me, namely: "SWAT: sell what's available today." I should have complained to his district manager. I'm sure the DM would not be pleased that the store was refusing to sell thousands of dollars worth of available inventory.

The only reason the chain still gets some of my business is another location had the gun in stock and would sell it to me.

Here in the DPR of NJ, the Sports Authorities don't even sell guns and ammo.

Here in NC, our Sports Authority stores sell rifles and shotguns, ammunition, hunting gear, gun cleaning supplies, some optics, eye and ear protection, etc.

Airsoft too.

It must be a regional thing. :)

The fine print on the coupon says that it is not valid for firearms and ammunition, nor for about 100 other name brand items. Geesh, what the heck can you use it on, a power bar?

Read the fine print

Excludes All firearms & ammunition;

Just as I stated in the original post. Also stated is that it may be useful for accessories. 25% off of a gun safe (RSC) or rifle cases is still pretty good.

230RN, I was in the store on McCaslin today (after finding this thread/coupon), and they do, in fact, still sell firearms. They had about 60 of 'em.

The guy said this coupon was good toward the purchase of a safe, so I'll be saving over $200. Thanks for the link OP!

I'll tell you what they have that I just bought more of last week. Those Nike tee shirts, they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I am a tee shirt guy, and had hundreds from just about every place I went. Untill I tried the Nike tee shirts in that nylon looking stuff. It's not nylon, it drys in 10 minutes from soaking wet. I am a cardio guy, so normally when I get off the treadmill, I am soaked, normally I would need 2 or 3 shirts by the time I was done with my workout. But with these new fabricks the shirts dry almost instantlly. It may sound like I have stock in the company, but for shooting in hot climates and any out door activity, you guys will thank me. They arent cheap, but a dozen of them in different colors, take the place of a hundred cotton tee's.
