I read a lot about these on on other forums and the thought was intriguing so I loaded up some Oregon Cast 250 grain RNFPs with 5 grains of win 231 and an oal of 1.19". All I have to say is wow! These are great to shoot. They give the 1911 a nice kick I have never felt before and they are very accurate. My only concern is when I ran a few mags through the chronograph I got an average velocity of right around 800fps. I was wondering if 800fps may be over pressured for a 250 grain .45acp? There does not seem to be any documented data on this load. Any ideas?
