Just got done glass bedding the 257 today, and she is clean and ready to go. I am looking toward dies and loads now. Anybody want to share any reloading tips or recipe's for this one? Our shop had a box of ammo for 51.00 so it pretty much makes sense to bite the bullet up front and get the brass, powder and dies.

Fed 215 or 215 primers, RL-22, Redding die set that comes with the neck sizer, Bonanza competiton bullet seater. Haven't tried any of the newer Barnes bullets, am still stocked up on the blue coated ones. Have an older Jap version with cheap plastic stock, and free floated the barrel. Other wise the POI changed rapidly after several rounds.

Nosler 100 gn partitions, Barnes 100 grainers seated as far as the the rifle allows. After 20 rounds, clean all copper out of bore, or accuracy can fade.

Good information. Especially about the dies that helps. I have mine free floated darned near all the way to the rear, need to range test it. Thanks again.
