Been looking for a 27 for a long time, and came across this 27-1. One owner since new. Had some old rubber grips, so I put on some grips I took off my 629-3. It was a little dirty and had white grease all over the place, but cleaned up nicely.

Originally came with an 8 3/4 barrel, but owner took it to the factory to have the 5 inch put on it. I got both barrels.

Wasn't the cheapest, but then how many 27-1's do you see? And it shoots beautifully.

You're right, the 27-1s are seldom seen. That 5" is a dandy...but then that's my preferred barrel length for any of the N-frames.

Well done,
Dave

Well done indeed.

I've got a five inch "pre-27" and it is one fine revolver let me tell you. I too, probably paid too much, but I used your exact same logic. How many "pre-27's" do you see?

You did very well sir. My two grail guns are both S&W M -27's, 3 1/2" then a 5". Hope to find one before the year is over.
