2nd A friendly alternative to TurboTax?

Recent posts have revealed that Intuit, the parent company to TuboTax is not on our side. I have used their product for a number of years but I will not sleep well at night if I use them again this year. Does anybody have good information on RTKBA & 2nd A friendly alternatives to an on line tax prep service? Better yet, one that would allow for a seamless transition from TurboTax?
 
I am looking for an answer to this as well...I sent them an email asking if it is true and after a week I have not received an answer...I have used Turbo Tax for almost 10 years and been very pleased with the results but I don't agree with their reported stance on the 2nd Amendment.

I have been using H&R Block software for several years now. It works well. I honestly don't know if they're on record as being anti like Intuit. I admit :eek: to using Quicken from Intuit, but there's no viable option IMHO.

I've used "tax act" for many years and have been very happy with it.

I'm a 2A CPA so I definitely agree with this. A lot of our clients are 2A supporters and many are LEO, gives us something else to talk about other than their personal/business taxes and accounting.

Another benefit is that you might find a new 2A/shooting buddy.

There is strength in numbers.
 
I tried tax act before and after filing it wouldn't allow us to open and view the forms any longer. Did they fix that?
 
My wife keeps excellent financial records, has and MBA with additional training in accounting, and took the H&R Block training -- but keeping up with all the changes every year was a pain, so we went to H&R Block to save headaches. The accountant assigned to us quit and opened her own business, so we went with her. Now doing our taxes is actually a pleasurable experience. Once a year we go to visit a friend, have a pleasant chat, and while we do the taxes get taken care of painlessly. We lucked out. Perhaps you might as well

This is true. I've come across some great deals on guns and other gun items and was able to get a ride along with Texas DPS. Two or our clients are Texas Rangers so that's kind of cool.
 
I got an answer back from TurboTax/Intuit reference this claim...they say it "...isn't a value judgement as to the nature of the business but an assessment of risk profile and other businesses fall under this..."

I don't fine this particularly anti-gun or anti Second Amendment but certainly not pro either of those...

I use Turbo Tax Cindy, AKA my sister. Years ago as things became more and more complicated for my wife and I we just turned everything over to my sister Cindy and I thank God for that girl. :)

Yes, she is a financial type as in CPA with her masters in accounting. She also knows and keeps well abreast of tax codes and changes.

H&R Block. I quit using Turbo Tax about 5 years ago.

I do use Quicken but I can export Quicken checkbook file to a format that will be imported into Block flawlessly.

I don't like Intuit products but haven't found a satisfactory alternative to Quicken yet.
