I am having trouble finding 3" 12 gauge lately. Everybody has tons of 2 3/4" and even alot of 3 1/2", but I can't find much for 3". I have tried 3 gun shops and a wally world. Anybody else having this experience or have an explanaition?

(edited out) Nevermind. I can't read apparently.

EDIT: A 3" shell will work in a 3 1/2" gun. Is there a specific reason to need a 3"?

My remy 11-87 Premier won't take a 3 1/2".

Yes Thernlund, I am quite aware of the specification and chambering of my gun. That is why I am inquiring about 3" shells...................... But thank you for your efforts.

I guess I could buy ammo online if it comes to that. I favor supporting local independant businesses when possible. However, I am definately open to suggestions for online resources.

I think we have a misunderstanding. I read your post to mean you were looking for a gun with a 3" chamber. I guess you are not, but instead are looking for 3" shells?

You did not specify in your post. It looked as if you were looking for a gun.

My apologies.

So you are correct Thernlund, I did fail to mention I was looking for ammo. That would clear things up a bit wouldn't it? LOL - Sorry

The reason is that so many people are making 3.5" for turkey and goose and 2 3/4" for small game, skeet, trap, etc. that 3" are no longer popular.

Disclaimer on the bottom says it can only be shipped to a dealer. Is that common for online ammo?
