Couldn't find it on there today, but did set the series recording. Thanks for the Good Call.

Yes, has anyone seen an episode yet? Impressions?

I'm unimpressed with Top Shot's political dynamic similar to survivor, but always enjoy all the gun stuff.

I watched it. The show seems pretty interesting, it may have been an intro episode because I am not sure if they will introduce us to competitors and the time spent was just going over the layout of the competition.

A lot was advertising for FNH and Surefire (but I did like the ads). I have the series set to the DVR so we will see how it plays out. Otherwise I am really interested in 3 Gun and hopefully this can give me some tips in getting started.

Saw it, liked it, but it'll come down to how they do the shoot-off, which is next week's program. Nobody (as of yet) has come up with a good way to show why Competitor X does better on a given stage than Competitor X, and a shoot-off is a good way to do that.

This should help you out on how to get your feet wet.
We would love to have you!

Just caught it on DVR over the weekend.

Unfortunately, it pretty much plays like an infomercial.

First I'd drop the silly music and quit cuts from scene to scene and Slow. The. Hell. Down. I think I got Attention Deficit Disorder just by watching it.

Having Travis Tomasie give a 30 second class on grip and stance was pretty much wasted time - make it 5 a minute segment and show the good ways - and typical bad ways to do it. Travis already has great videos out there - just ask to use those or re-shoot them for the show.

I'd also like to have the instructor talk directly to the viewer at home rather than a host pretending to have no clue.

I'd want to see entire 3-gun stages run by various people from their POV as well as staged cameras. I'd love to see "experts" analyze the stages - and offer suggestions/commentary to the competitors on their tactics and technique.

I still have it set to record, and hope that the show can become a bit more educational. Watching it, I kept expecting "and if you call now...for only 4 low payments of...".

But maybe that's just me.

I caught it also. As others have mentioned, does plays like a bit like a slick FN infomercial....there again, if they are footing the bill to get it aired, then fair enough - I'd much rather have this on TV than not at all.

Will keep watching as I have just become a 3 gun newb myself - it is a great sport, and the pro shooters are outstanding to watch. Infomercial like or not, I actually preferred it to Top Shot, but I am biased being interested and now participating in 3 gun.

Here is a link to some clips of the show.

If you would please offer up some positive comments to Versus and the sponsors of the show.

I believe shows like this and Top Shot helps all of us as recreational firearms enthusiasts. We are good people from all walks of life enjoying our second amendment freedoms!

Thanks all
Patrick

FN is a huge sponsor of 3-Gun Nation. They've provided all of the guns for the shoot-off, and from what I saw at Superstition Mountain, they were focusing very heavily on getting footage of the squad of shooters sponsored by FN.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. The shooters on that squad are all top notch competitive shooters.

I just watched the second episode last night which I had DVR'd. Pretty good I thought, but I'm sure for the 30 minute slot the show has, the time allocated to commercial's is over 50% - thank goodness for DVR's! :)

Thanks to all of you who are watching this show. I believe it can only help us as a shooting community.

Like some of you I do not have cable or dish (hell I don't have a TV!) so click on the link above to watch the 2nd episode. Other episodes will follow as the shows run their course on TV.

Thanks again
Patrick

This week's episode was far better than the opening two, maybe it was because it was a very different match, but it seemed that an outside might get a decent idea of what the sport is about.

Been fairly disappointed. Too much of an FN infomercial. I want to learn about the different equipment and techniques used by different shooters. Not just watch a bunch of guys shoot SCAR's.
