Hey guys,
I just wanted to let you know that i updated the site with some new guns. 2 of these guns are Swivel Breach rifles, and i haven't seen one until i took the pictures for the site, these things are really cool, and heavy, and well made. I suppose you all know what they are and how they work so i wont bore you =)

I am working on incorporating the updates so many of you recommended to me a few weeks ago.

High resolution galleries etc here:

ill do my best:

they have 2 barrels(one top, one bottom), and you load them both, then when you shoot one, you flip some switch that lets you rotate the bottom barrel to the top, and fire that one.

i should get a video of one in action (not being shot, just the rotation), its mechanism has a very nice feel to it.

Are you Leonard Day's son?

I met Leonard Day a long time ago at a Nor' Eastern in RI. great work, really nice work!

At that time Leonard Day had some early pieces as well as swivel breech's.

I don't beleive there were any cap locks then, but the I recall the flinters had a pand and frizzen each so all you needed to do was flip up the second barrel and cock the pice for the next shot...

I recall being astonised at how tight these locked up too...

heh, no i am not his son.

infact i dont know much about these guns, i just took pictures of them and saw how the barrels were turned. I agree that these guns look very tight.

These were made in 1981 by the way, which could be "a long time ago" when you met Leonard Day.

The 3 Nor' Easterns in RI were a long time ago...

I followed the link and book marked it.. I once met that owner.. Are you he?

Or do you take pics and do site work?

Doesn't matter, but I have been chewing my arm off over not buying one of these back then...

I know Sheldon pretty well,
I used to cut his lawn back in the day, before the college degree and learning useful skills.

It looks like this may be your chance to stop chewing your arm off finally :)

Yup I can see how that idea works... the gun appears like a modern over under.. Untill you relase the barrels and swivel them around....

1-K you otta gitchy one!...

Funny world, I know 1-K face to face too...

Very nice. Being a lefty I am always torn when I see a custom lefty. Fortunatly they are way out of my price range and probably worth every penny.

My funds are exhausted.. To many projects.. Wheels for a swivel gun and wood for a field carriage might be next.

Then there is that blunder buss given to me as an Maine Attic find, that needs a stock and a lock, plus assorted missing furniture.

Maybe after that a sled type carriage for the swivel gun, to make it easy for dragging to winter camp next year.

Then there is always some other project not related to guns, but related to living, like makin' maple sugar. All my stuff was abandoned and scattered a while back and this is the season almost.

This means no new guns for me for a long time.... :(
