Okay I've got a 500A Persauder. Front corncob, rear 6 position stock.

Looking at 3 point slings. Came across Specter.

Will this sling work with my setup?

Any other suggestions for 3 point slings for this gun?

I think my primary concern is the overall length of the Mossberg. I'm presuming that it's a bit longer than an AR15/M4, which seems to be what most 3 point slings are designed for.

Hey there. I use a 3 pointer on an M-4 about 4 days a week on the job. While they're a step up from the old stuff they can be a pain and I'm not so sure they would be good for HD. Unless you practice with them alot, they can be restrictive in all but the low-ready. Also, if this for HD, its another step to sling before engagement.

However, if you just want a sling that works and not my 2 cents, try the Blackhawk. Very nice to work with and has 2 quick releases; one to lose the sling completely and one to add about 6 inches to the length. Overall, these are good features that I admit I sometimes use.

And just so I don't catch the mall ninja response, I'm not a special operator or merc for hire. My job is very quiet usually which is a very good thing!

About the length: I'm pretty average at 6' 180 so I really shorten the blackhawk sling up to keep it close. I use a Gov issue M-4 which is shorter that your sg but we have some absolute monsters that have no problem with having enough strap to let out. By monster, I mean 50 inch chest or more. Unless you're a giant dude, you should be okay.

Thanks, I'll look at the Blackhawk.

Yes, its for HD. I have small kids, and want to be able to go hands free with my weapon if I need to grab a kid, etc.
