I am going to make a 3 point sling for my 870P based on instructions for AR sling in ARF.COM. The sling will basically be a Gilles sling. Anyway I am trying to figure out what to get for an attachment for the front of the gun. The barrel has a sling attachment point at the bottom but I would like something to mount to the side.

Wilderness.com uses some kind of plate that sits between the cap that holds the barrel on and the barrel. It looks like it may be GG&G from the site but I can't find it for sale alone. Anyone have a source or any other ideas? Pics of 3 point slings front attachment points would also be helpful.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but you can purchase a side mount front sling adapter directly from GG&G: http://gggaz.com/index.php?id=78&parents=60,61

Or you can buy a similar one from Wilson Combat: http://www.wilsoncombat.com/sa_slings_mounts.asp

I have an Eagle Industries TAS-4-FX 3-point sling (see: http://www.eagleindustries.com/images/prodimages/p_TAS-4fx-combo.jpg ) for my 870P, which is fitted to a Knoxx SpecOps stock. My 870 is a home defense gun and I use the sling only for training classes. I keep a GG&G side mount front sling adapter permanently installed on the gun just for convenience sake. To facilitate speed and ease of sling installation/removal, I fitted the sling with a Blue Force Gear Mash Hook Adapter to snap it on & off the GG&G adapter. See: http://blueforcegear.com/product.cfm?type=cat&cat_id=5&prod_id=80 (I cut the Mash Hook Adapter from the webbing and installed it directly onto the sling.)

Probably made the question too long and confusing. Your answer was what I was looking for though, thanks.
