Third time, is NOT a charm.

Ordered a 20" 6.5 Grendel II barrel (bear creek arsenal brand) in August.

Barrel arrived, cleaned, and installed. Results were 3 to 5" groups at 100 yards. Bore scope revealed the last 6" of the rifling, is not touching the bullet (lands not shiny, no copper, no streaking, nada...nothing).

Returned barrel to BCA per the vendor that I purchased. Two weeks from shipping, an email inquiry ten days after they received, prodded a reply of "sending a new barrel".

Barrel #2 arrived 6 day later. Barrel was missing edges of the lands in the throat. Crown was cut too fast or with a dull tool - metal rough and pushed over into the bore. Ragged enough edge that grabbed & tore cotton patch.

Credit issued from BCA to vendor.

I ordered another BCA barrel (different length, contour, etc....but same caliber). Barrel arrived today. The naked eye revealed a problem in the chamber, close to the shoulder/body junction. Chamber finish looks like a moonscape because the melonite was not rinsed completely from the barrel.

So, even though BCA barrels are 100% inspected, etc, etc........please check your barrels.

Now have 2 1/2 months, bullets/power/primers/brass, and frustration with poor quality.

A fellow at work bought a BCA upper in 6.5 Grendel and has nothing but problems. He never has gotten it resolved.

That is why I can't ever recommend them. There is a chance you can get a showers for cheap, but also a good chance of this happening. I would rather spend a little more on something like BA and save the handle and wasted ammo trying to get a bad barrel to shoot. If you see in time and ammo you are spending a lot more
