30.06 Wolf / Golden Bear Ammo?

Are you guys using any of the Wolf or Golden Bear in your Milsurps? The M1 Garand and 1903A3 is exhausting my ammo supply and I don't have a lot of time to reload right now.
How well does it work for you?

Milsurp 30-06 from CMP is still cheaper than the Russian stuff. About .55/rd shipped to your door. Plus its reloadable and you get an ammo can with it.

i would absolutely not run wolf or golden bear through my m1's. if i couldnt make time to reload or get some cmp m1 ammo for them i just wouldnt shoot them.

I would have no issue shooting it in a bolt gun, but keep it out of your M1! Forget the steel case, you have no idea what type of powder is in there and the M1 will only run right on certain powders at the correct charge.

OK in the 1903

In the M1 Garand, one word: NO!

You WILL damage the oprod, and maybe even crack the receiver heel. Wrong gas pressures in that ammo for the M1

I have put some of that Wolf stuff through my M1903, had zero issues with it.

It is cheap and available, but I won't be buying any more. 30-06 is so expensive now that it is more economical for me to just buy brass cased reloadable ammo, and just stockpile the cases for when I eventually buy a reloading press.
