I am reloading an M1 Carbine with a mil spec load.. 110gr RN with 13 grains of H-110.

I see that there appears to be two types of ROUND NOSE bullets for this cartridge.

One has a taper from base to tip, the other has a straight side and then rounds out.

The Winchester Q3132 profile feeds the best for my rifle.... it that a round nose bullet or is it called something else???? I make plinking ammo and while the winchester FMJ RNs work great.. they are way to good for the berm I use to shoot.

Any other sources of this kind of RN bullet?

Yellowlab,

I recently used Rainier copper clad bullets with the same profile as the winchesters in my M1. I got excellent accuracy, possibly the best I've ever gotten from an M1 carbine. I should note it's a "built from a kit" and is all new parts.
