Highly recommend RCBS or Redding for the WSMs.

ArkansasFatboy--The Lee Collet neck-sizing dies have worked well for me, so when I bought a .300WSM, I wanted those dies for that cartridge. Lee was happy to make up a custom set for me--at extra cost, of course. They work fine.
Lee will make up any die you could name--Just send 'em a statement of your wants, a couple fired cartridges from the firearm for which you'll be loading, and a check.
I had 'em do the collet neck-size die, a FL sizing die, and a bullet seater.
Since my order, I believe that Lee has added the 300Whizzum to their standard catalogue of dies, so you could get the same dies for their standard price.
Check 'em out at www.leeprecision.com Yep, they catalogue it. Betcha they used MY specs to build the die, I paid 'em to do it, then they made it a standard item. Sigh.

For Full Length sizing you can't go wrong with the Forster Bench rest set. Best dies for the money. If you want to neck size go with the Lee Collet Die. Although I would can the Lee seater.

Steve4102--Why would you do that? It doesn't cost as much as some dies, it's true, but it's adjustable to the thousandth of an inch for seating, maintains its adjustment nicely, screws in & out just like any other die--What's not to like?? Am I missing something?
This past winter I decided to make myself crazy and start chasing runout. When sizing brass for my 6.5x55 Swede with a Lee Collet Die and a Redding body die I have .000 to .001 neck runout. Seating the bullet with the Lee seater produced bullet runout from .001 to .014 for 50 rounds. Most were between .008 and .011. I switched to a Forster Bench Rest seating die and bullet runout has all but disappeared. I had the same problem with my 300WSM, although not as extreme.
If runout is not a concern then the Lee dies are fine. If you want concentric rounds then go with the Forster. Great dies for the money.
I also have a Forster Bench Rest FL 2 die set in 221 fireball. I am very impressed with their FL die.

I have a NIB set of Redding dies for teh .300 WSM. I sold my WSM before I started loading for the rifle. I also have virgin winchester brass for it as well. If you are interested shoot me an email at [email protected]

Steve 4102--Question asked, question answered! Thankyou! Haven't gotten to chasing runout yet myself but you pique my curiosity--how much runout am I getting? Have been working on accuracy, and am entered in a rifle target league for this summer. Will be shooting my .243. I guess one of those expensive Sinclair gauges is in my future.
