Thanks fo all of the awesome suggestions here fellas.

I think I will just go the spotting scope route for now. I really like things to be simple and electronic free when possible. It is also great to get a tool which can be used for more than one job. And maybe I've been just waiting for an excuse to get a scope lol.

For long range testing we use sharpies to color the ogive to keep track of the different charges, seating depths, primers or most any incremental test. I use one point of aim for these charge ladders then drive down and connect the colors.

I recently tested some Center X .22 LR out to 300 yards, I used paper out to 200, but a full sized steel silhouette past that. Paper got to hard to see shots on after 200.

So here is a variation on the video camera theme........Facetime app on standard iPhone. That is a live video chat application.......would take 2 phones. Set one on tripod at target.......could be a mile away. Other at shooter's location. Just need to shield it at the target so you don't shoot it.

Android phones may have something similar. I wonder if my old retired Android can be configured to Facetime with my newish iPhone?

I use video calling on my Samsung to talk with my daughter in NM. I suppose it would work. I'll have to try that.
