303 prvi partisan

I have the same question.

I read a little saying it is better than stuff from Pakistan...

Yes, I have shot about 80 or 100 rounds through my enfield this year using prvi partisan. It all shot reliably and I had no problems. I am actually using the cases in my handloads. The only reason I have not bought any in a while is because I reload now.

Ammo man.com has the Prvi partisan @$150 for 200 rounds, cheaper than dirt has Sellier & bellot @ $15 for 20 rounds.
I think I'll buy some of each and report back.

Thanks for your help Mike

I've shot some PP .303, but not a lot. Seems like good stuff to me. But from what I've read, all their ammo seems to be highly rated by most folks, and the brass is considered some of the best reloadable brass out there.

I don't have experience with the .303 specifically but I've always been very happy with their 7.62x38r Nagant and "8mm" Mauser. The Nagant ammo was WAY better than the Fiocchi stuff (cleaner and more accurate in my M1895) and a good deal cheaper too ($20 vs $30).

Last Fall a 10pt. deer was very disappointed that i had ordered some Prvi .303 SP. It works well, good accuracy in my No.4's.

Well, for one thing, Prvi's non-corrosive...

I've shot a box or two of it out of my no.4. It works just fine and looks nicer than Remington. I have not shot enough of it, carefully enough to tell you if it is any more accurate or more reliable. But since it is recent production, I'm sure the reliability is fine.
If ammo from any major producer were regularly failing you would hear about it.

Privi works fine in my .303's. So does S&B, but S&B does not reload well, as the primer cups are a bit shallow, and the case heads have seperated on all my reloads.

Privi is good stuff.

I have used PP ammo in 7x57mm and 7.65x53 with great results. Aimsurplus has 3 choices of .303 Brit ammo here 20 rounds @ under $14.00<http://www.aimsurplus.com/catalog.aspx?groupid=25&name=.303+British>

It's good ammo. I have shot way over 500 rounds of the FMJ rounds in a couple of my Enfields and they are very accurate. Their .303 soft point or Wolf Gold is my go to hunting ammo. A few mule deer DRT and this year I'm off to Colorado for elk.

We are shooting .303 Prvi in my wife's Enfield No.4Mk1
No problems works fine for us!

Have used over twenty new boxes of Prvi .303.

It is the only ammo I reload (30-06 is next), and have used PP cases at least four-five times with no signs of anything abnormal.
Very experienced reloaders claim that Prvi brass is thicker and lasts longer than Remington.

Iron Mike: If you have Enfields with 2-groove bores, you might be aware that some have serious issues with boat tail (BT) bullets?
"Ammo seek" appears to have only one seller with bullets which are Not (SPBT) Boat Tail.

One of my 2-groove rifles (LB) makes nasty keyholes from 100 yards, and the other (British) does not, with the same box of ammo.
Both bores are in basically identical condition. The LB has a little bit of extremely tiny specks in or by the grooves in the last part of the bore, and these very tiny specks are very difficult to notice, except with the bore light.

I've fired modern-production PPU rounds in 8mm and 7.62x54r and was very pleased with the quality of the rounds. They're obviously leaps and bounds above any surplus you'll find on the market. The brass is really nice looking too, and I think I'll save it for when I get a press to start reloading.

PP ammo is some of the best value we have on the local market. I tried a packet recently & was well pleased with the result as regards accuracy. I'll be keen to try some on a hunt, at 303 velocitys I've no qualms about using a simple cup & core bullet like the PP ones.
Steve.

I don't have a rifle in .303 British, but I have shot Prvi Partisan in .30-06, 7.62x39 & x54, and some .45ACP pistol ammo.

GOOD STUFF! I buy it whenever I see it and have a few $$ in hand to spend.

Thats the only i used with my No 4. Stay away from old surplus most are corrosive and prices are same with the newer Privi Partizan production ammo.
