.308 180gr Hornady SST....for Competition?

For .308 Win: I was wondering if anybody has real world experience using the Hornady 180gr SST in competition.

I've been wanting to try the 178gr A-max but the SST seem to be more readily available.

BC of A-max is .495, SST is .480.

Thoughts appreciated.

If we are talking about .308 Winchester and you get some 178gr Amax's (great bullet), PM me as I did some extensive load development with that bullet using RL15 and Varget.
