Does anyone have any good easy remedies for knocking out 308 primers that are crimped i have looked at some depriming tools such as the dillion depriming tool, but it's a little expensive considering the fact i only have about fifty cases that are crimped so far.

Look in the case, does it have one flashole in the ceter or two? If 2 then it's berdan primed and not worth the hassle to reload it.

Do what Pumpkinheaver said.

It works very well for me. After a bunch of cases are de-primed, I chuck my chamfering tool in the drill press and go at it. Takes about two seconds to get the crimp out.

I have a small hand RCBS or Lee cutter. After decapping, I just turn it in the primer pocket. It cuts the crimp and cleans the primer pocket. Got it a a gun shop years ago. I've used it on thousands of USGI 30-06 brass.

The Dillon super swage is a good tool, and while it may be excessive for the 50 cases you have, I've made it a policy to buy only rifle cases with the primer crimp intact, thus assuring once fired status, and really good brass quality. If you see something like that in your future, the super swage may seem like a better investment.
