.308 holes marine corp motto?

Alright from as long as I can remeber ".308 holes leave empty souls" is the world known quote on T-shirts, bumper stickers and I am sure somone out there has it tattooed on their ass. This guy says differnetly, and sites a sniper unit using a similar, but more illogical motto. My friend used the spelling sole, intsead of soulsCan anyone verify this or discredit him?

The motto he has in his profile is "Silent souls leave .308 holes." The only refrence I could find for this was from an Air Soft site. I did exstensive reserarch of 1st Bat 6th as well and couldnt find any motto near that.

Not to make you look stupid, but the saying is the motto of the 1st Battalion of the 6th Marine Regiment's Scout Sniper Platoon. I have no idea where you came up with that empty shoe crap. Or is that your clan's motto in CounterStrike?

Most Marine Scout Sniper / Sniper platoons / sections and so on use ".308 holes leave empty souls" more commonly than others. But it's not a set standard and different units do different things. I my self have never herd "Silent souls leave .308 holes" but that does not mean that it's not used by someone.
