308 sight in ?

hey folks, i'm going to sight in a 308 and the only range i can get to right now is 50 yards max. can anyone tell me where to sight in at 50yds to be dead on at 200 yds. 150gr bullet at 2860 fps. thanks , saddlebum

You using iron sights?
From center of bore , how high are the sights sitting?

What I find if iron are used (lets say 1 inch on highth), you should hit approx. 1 inch high.
That is approx. , the scope or sights highth needs to be known to be exact, but I feel if you sight in at 50 yrds and point of impact is about 1 high then you should be darn close.

But the sight highth has alot to do with everything, let me know

thanks for the reply. it has a 2x7 compact scope on it.the center of the cross hairs is about 1.5" above the center of the bore. saddlebum

then go for 3/4 inch high @ 50 yrds
