Ok, so I am looking to sight in my Saiga 308. Got some questions.
If I am sighted, dead on at 100 yards, using 308 FMJ 147 grain, other then going out to the range and just throwing down lead, how do I calculate where the round should be at say 200 yards?

Any help would be great.

USSR,
On the fly shooting, to go from 100 to 200, I will need to learn the distance/size formula and adjust visually, right?

Can't open your program right now, but if it's like any other ballistics table I've seen, then yes.

Just go to the range, that's the easiest way to see what YOU and YOUR rifle will do. Ballistics tables give you an idea of what to expect. They are in controlled enviroments with THEIR test rifle. You will definetly see the drop from 100 to 200 yards on any target.

Disregarding all the software, you can zero 1 1/2" high at 100 yards with about any centerfire rifle and be good to go all the way from the muzzle out to 300 yards or so.

I set it at 100 yards, cross hairs center, rounds hits about 2.5" to 3" high. I have figured that I am actually sighted in at around 150 feet.

If you're asking about shooting both distances without adjusting your sights, you would be better served with a 200 yard zero, and having your rifle shoot 2 inches high at 100 yards (just aim low at 100 yards).
