Hi there,
Mods, if it belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it.
I'm interested in terminal ballistics of .308Win, especially Lapua Scenar (185gr) and M80 FMJBT (147 gr). If interested, then firearm is standard issue M14, 22inch barrel.
Now much penetration, extent of damage. Has there been tests to measure the effects at different ranges (up to 800 yards or even more). How the bullets will act when hitting a living target, are they tumbling or fragmenting, and above what speed their "stopping power" is good enough. That kind of stuff.
If possible, then ballistic gel pics are a big help.
