.32 ACP ammo prices over the next few months?

Any educated guesses are always interesting. As for the trend, it has gone up a good bit in the last two months since I bought some Gecko by RUAG.
Do most of you seasoned handgun ammo trackers expect to see no real discounts, excluding the type of tragedy which can provoke our next general ammo panic?

The lowest prices are sought as this ammo is for simple fun in my only handgun: the WW2 Sauer 38H. It is nearly identical to its offspring, the Sig 230/232. That will be my next handgun and used for CCW.

I bought a lot of S&B, Winchester (ouch! $30 a box!!) and Fiocchi early last Summer and used it as once fired brass...working up my own loads and have not bought factory ammunition since. I paid between $13 and $19 a box and have not looked lately at .32 acp prices.

I have enough components laid in to keep us fed in all calibers for maybe 18 months except for bullets. I can make no predictions/guesses but I suspect we'll be paying more for everything soon.

I priced 32ACP ammo a month ago......forget it. I have been making it for 25 years sure as heck am not going to pay that price just for RN cartridges.

If anything kills the .32, it will be the ammo companies charging more for it than .380 or 9mm (really, shouldn't it be LESS than 9mm?).

Probably not because it is produced in much less volume than 9mm or 380.

That would be somewhat logical except that on component bullet market, the prices seem to reflect the amount of lead and copper used to set the price incrementally. I get what you are saying, but since it only involves a changeover, not buying new equipment, they sure don't have to charge DOUBLE what they charge for 9mm.

Those are definitely factors, but nothing brings cost down as much as mass production volume.

9mm is made by everyone, including Russian steel ammo. .32 production is comparatively scarce, so being good capitalists, they can charge more. Your basic "supply and demand".

You think 32ACP is expensive try pricing .32 S&W or .32 longs or even finding it. There simply is no reason to not reload even if you only shoot one calibre. You can get a lee kit and lee bullet molds and quit pissing and moaning and have ammo.
