I am several years into a birthday gun trend in which the numbers correspond with the birthday. Last year I got a S&W model 30-1 for the 30th birthday, and this year I am looking heavily towards a remington 31 cal revolver. If I do get that revolver I will most likely try to get a Kirst or R&D conversion cylinder, but from my limited research to date, it appears that conversion cylinders are only offered in 32 s&w which is quite anemic. Are there options in 32 s&w long? It too is a weak round but is leaps and bounds more powerful than the "32 short" not to mention easier to buy rounds for and more forgiving as a reloader due to increased case capacity. I know that a cylinder in 32sw could be bored to accept 32swl but doing so would be a risky proposition if that arena has not already been pioneered and proven safe. Are there options I am missing or would I be stuck with the "32 short" as my only conversion option?
