Looking to add a solid frame H&R in .32 S&W to the collection and I'm wondering what's the max that the .32 S&W can be loaded to for a non top break revolver? I know top breaks are not strong and to not shoot them to death we have to shoot lower power loads thru them, but I can't find any info when the revolver is a solid frame .32 S&W.

And yes, I know it's not called .32 SW Short, I just don't want people getting confused thinking I'm asking about .32 S&W Long.

This is what I have.

you might also want to have a look at this. http://reloadammo.com/32-s-w-reloading-data/
I've seen this load data in other topics, but IDK if this is for topbreaks only or is full power .32 S&W.

I'll use Unique and because I'm using it in a solid frame I'm going to load straight to max. I have a hard time believing a solid frame can't take it.

Would like to know if anyone has ever played around with going over max when using a solid frame .32 S&W only revolver.

Keep in mind, it's not so much the frame that can't take it.

The earlier S&W cylinders were not heat treated. The steel is nowhere near as strong as in the later revolvers.
Many of the top breaks were built for black powder loads. The cylinder may not take the pressure curve of smokeless.
