Purchased a H&R revolver in 32 S&W at the gun show yesterday. Who makes dies for this? I can find 32 S&W Long dies but not Short. Can I adjust the long dies to work?
Thanks in advance for the info.

I purchased a separate 32 (S&W) short seating die from Lee. It said 32 ACP on the die body. I would wager a 32 ACP die set if you have one and the correct shell holder would work. Or buy the 32 short sizer from lee like I did.

If I thought a 32 S&W was in my future as well as any of the longer ones I would get a S&W short die set for use with all of them including 327 FED.

Frog that may work but I have .32s&w long dies to do .327mag & the bullet seater just barely works. Its barely screwed in bc of the length. I'm not sure it would work.

With the Lee 4 die 32 S&W long set (with an extra long expander plug to bell the 32 S&W) and the Lee seater die for 32 S&W (short) I can load the 32 S&W, 32 S&W long, 32 H&R mag, and 327 FED. All produce good accurate loads in my firearms with good barrels/cylinders. Some of the top break 32 S&W short revolvers not so much.

I use my Lyman 32 ACP die set to load my 32 S&W Long, and I'm sure that it would do the short 32 S&W if I needed it.

I bought a 32 S&W (short) die set and some 32 S&W brass to make gallery loads for my 327. But I don't think they are going to work well because of the long large diameter chamber the 327 has (bullet won't seal in that long chamber).

I'd gladly unload my new (unused) die set and 100 rds of brass.

PM me if you're interested.

Lee does make a dedicated 3-die carbide set for 32 S&W and another for 32 S&W Long.
90696 is the 32 S&W dies, 90624 is the 32 S&W Long dies.

Before I bought 90696 32 S&W dies I just used my 32 Auto die set to load my 32's long or short.

Lee's dies you can usually do the size advertised plus one up. My 90696 does Longs and shorts. Have not tried 32 H&R or 327 but I doubt it will work, I need to buy the H&R dies for the 327.

The RCBS Cowboy dies (for lead bullets) does an excellent job on all of the .32's. It will load the H&R, the S&W Long the S&W Short. It also has a .314 expander plug (long and short versions) for loading lead
vs. the .312 for jacketed in this caliber. I've loaded thousands with my set and there is no "bullet bulging".
