Put a bantam grip on my wife's lcr so I can "test" out pocket carrying it the next couple days. Also loaded up some mild 100 gr loads. Hopefully get to range tomorrow to see how these loads are and make changes as needed.

I like the looks of the new grip. I was unaware that there were aftermarket grips available.

I hope it shoots well.

There's actually a few aftermarket options for the LCR now. Hogue makes these and the OEM's.

The grips should not be rubber if you want to put the gun in a pocket. The rubber sticks to cloth. Nylon is what I would prefer.

Pretty sure I saw a wood grip for them too. I gotta go googling.

Edit: Eagle Grips makes them.

The long pebbled-rubber Hogue grip without finger grooves that comes standard on the 3" model will also fit the 1-7/8" model, since the grip stud is the same.

Eagle Grips makes rosewood LCR grips.

Hogue has that long grip, the boot grip, and the regular Tamer grip as well as a G10 grip (smooth and patterned) in various colors.

Let us know how it shoots, Dan-O. I'm strongly considering replacing my Colt Cobra with an LCR, chambered in .327 Magnum, for much of my concealed carry duties.

You might get a big surprise when you fire that baby. I have named my S&W 631 my loud mouth little friend. Oh yea, and if the wife is recoil sensitive she might shoot it once then shove that darn thing right back at you.

Yes those grips look to be quite functional and unlike Hogue textured ones are unlike to "grab" unto clothing. I'm pretty sure recoil sensitive weaklings could use .32H&R ammo instead of .327 loading in that gun. If one is in need of suitable carry gun this six shot thing looks like it might be worth buying. I will pass as I already own tiny 9mm pistol and small 9mm revolver.

The Hogue bantam boot grips recently came off my ruger lcr .38. They were great for concealment but not enough grip or recoil management for me. Accuracy suffered significantly in my hands. I'd like to try the Eagle grips next.

This is the beauty of the .327: if it's too much for the lass, put some .32 H&R or .32 S&W Longs in it. She can find her comfort zone to practice with and when carrying she can step it up a bit to something a bit stronger.

The flip side is that the man will always have the full power option available and the .327 excels in a snub sized gun as it's more powerful than .38 and more practical than .357 magnum.

I think .327 is finally going to find it's groove and become a mainstay.
