340 PD (titanium Jframe) first time out

I didn’t see it mentioned in the discussion above.

Is this really a ‘titanium’ framed gun or is it Scandium?

Asking because I have a 329PD (.44 Mag) and it has a scandium frame with titanium alloy cylinder.

Scandium alloy frame with titanium alloy cylinder. Perhaps similar to your 329PD, that i am not familar with.

I had one of the first ones out, born on 8/23/05. Truly a carry much, shoot little gun.
I carried .357 in it but trained with .38's and shoot one cylinder of .357 now and then.
A buddy of mine wanted it and kept at it until I gave in and traded it to him for his
60-14 .357. It's heavy enough that the .357's don't hurt so much. The 340 PD is a
great gun if you aren't in you 70's and have Arthritis in you hands and wrists.
I had mine for 15 years and carried it a lot and shot it not so much.

There are times I gotta think Smith is just showing off with some of their super lightweight revos.
Guilty as charged; I've the 340SC and the 325.
Just have to accept the trade off.
