I was in the shop today and I discovered a used (50th anniversary) Ruger Mark II. It is blued and looks great. I have wanted one for a while and I must act quickly because it is the only one they have. Is $350 a good price?

Also, is it okay to dry fire a Mark II?

tappered barrel? That sounds like a lot.

I once (Aug. '07) bought a 50th anniv. mkII with a fancy Volq. trigger already on it for $225 from Scheels (a retail like Cabelas and whatnot) not known for amazing prices. I returned it later and exchanged for a new mkIII with bull barrel but anyway just a reference for you. I suppose mkII are up bit but that sounds too much.

I'll sell you my MKIII Hunter for $350. Its fluted stainless steel 4 3/4" bull barrel, adj. rear sights and has had trigger work to it. less than 500rds.

$350 is a little steep for this model. For $350 you can find a competition model on the used market.#

In general I do not recommend to dryfire rimfire guns. It will always induce extra stress on the firing pin.

IdahoLT1 you are killing me. After getting gidaeon's post I went back to the store and talked him down to $250! Your offer is tempting but I have exhausted my gun budget for the month.:D
