I live in lower Michigan where they just recently changed the deer gun laws in the shotgun zone for deer. I can only use my .308 and 30-30 up north. We can now use certain .35 cal or larger straight wall rounds. I just bought the .350 Legend Winchester XPR to use this deer season, I haven't shot it yet, need to get a scope mounted. I used my buddies Ruger American .450 Bushmaster last year and took a buck with it, thought I would give the .350 Legend a try this year. They have several variations but I like walnut stocked guns, most are plastic. The .350's and .450's are selling fast in my area. Anyone else have experience with the XPR?

Other than just handling them in a store no. But I do like what I see. And I've read some very positive reports from others. If I needed another rifle I'd certainly consider one. Congratulations on being able to hunt with a rifle, even though your options are limited.

That has better looks than many straight wall legal guns including my own 450 Ruger American.

I didn’t know those existed until now. I really like it. It forgoes many of the popular features with the flush magazine and no muzzle brake and a wood stock to boot.

I would get it.

The gun was made in Portugal at the Browning Viana factory, this is the Sporter Titanium model and it is not on the Winchester web site for some reason, I was surprised to see it at my local dealer 5 miles down the road. You can also get it with a blued barrel if you prefer. It has a recessed crown and adjustable trigger pull and trigger stop, factory set at 3 1/2 pounds.

Interesting CVA made in Spain, it doesn't look too bad. I was looking for a walnut stock but don't see that option.

Just got my scope mounted, next sight in.

I’d rather have an XPR than a RAR, Axis II or 783. Of the budget rifles I’d rather have a Patriot than an XPR due to the Patriot having a normal size ejection port.

Wow, that is awesome! I've been thinking about getting a 350 Legend, this only pushes me further toward it...

I like a number of things on the XPR. They have longer barrels than some, sturdier stocks than some and a locking bolt.

They're definitely one of the guns I'm considering.

Buddy bought one, shoots very good.
Already taken deer, factory ammo, pleased with field effect.
