.355 bullets in a 38sp?

You can load them with any .38 Special data for that weight bullet. They may not be as accurate as .357" or .358" diameter bullets, depending on your barrel. Some of the older Colt Pythons were bored at .356", and were considered to be more accurate because of it.

Depending on your expander plug, too, the bullets may be loose in the neck of the case, but not necessarily so. Many people routinely load 9mm bullets in .38 cases because they want to use that particular bullet weight. You don't have to worry about using light load data with a smaller diameter bullet, but if the case were reversed, such as using .357" diameter bullets in a 9mm (.355") bore, then you would have to work up your loads accordingly.

Hope this helps.

I've used the 9MM 125 gr lead bullets at times when short of the 158 grs I normally use in .38 Sp. Just had to adjust the load accordingly. If your resizer reduces the case enough for a fairly good bullet pull I would think you could load and taper crimp them and they would work OK. Like ReloaderFred said the accuracy might not be quite as good but you might be surprised at the results especially if you shoot at 8 to 10 yds at an indoor range like most of my shooting or even as a plinking load in the field.

I loaded up 500 lead RN .355 bullets in .38 Spl. cases after finding that my 9mm didn't like lead bullets. I took the expanding plug from the 9mm die set and used it in place of the .38 plug. The bullets loaded and shot just fine with 3.0 gr. WW 231.

Then you shouldn't have any problems shooting them in the Python. They may also shoot fairly well. You won't know until you give it a try.
