Anyone have any load data for this bullet using 231 or WSF in 9mm ?? If not can someone tell me what this bullet would compare too so I can cross reference. Also would like too know the col. The Speer book says 1.135 and the Hogdon says 1.169. I am loading light on the powder probably 3.8 - 4.0 grains of 231.

Thanks
Bob

I've loaded them, found them comparable with most FMC bullets.

4.8 grains of W-231, seated at 1.160", is the lightest charge that's accurate in my CZ or M&P. It likes all the way through 5.2 grains although I don't usually bother.

In the 4.7" barrel the 4.8 grain charge yields between 1040-1110fps depending on the specific FMC brand. Hope this helps.

My apologies - these charges are for 115-grain bullets. Don't have fps figures handy and don't usually shoot 124's, but my "W-231 charge range" is 4.5-4.9 grains with 124's I know.

I have not shot the 124, but I have shot the Hornady 115 9MM RN encapsulated bullet with WSF. I used .1 over the Speer # 13 max load for WSF which is max from Winchesters data with a 115 Gr FMJ with no issues. Shoots real well. AA #5 and N330 do very well with it too.

Walkalong,

Do you know what col you used on these loads with the WSF ? I have several data sheets that show different lenghts.

Thanks
Bob

I shoot the Hornady 115 Gr RN encapsulated bullet at 1.130 to 1.135 O.A.L. I bought a 3000 pack back when. I just broke into them. What I paid then vs the price now is sickening. I am nearly out of Raniers. I also shoot the Ranier 115 Gr RN at that O.A.L.

Start at 5.5 Grs WSF and work up. (for 115 Gr) :)
