Find a pre-Remington Marlin 1894C. Mine is a gem and shoots everything I feed it. More than any other gun, it's stopped that "itch" that makes you want to buy more guns.
It's light and handy and I think .357 is great for anything short of 125 yards. I put Skinner sights on mine and target acquisition is quick and accurate.
