We get new ones pretty often... what else do you need to do which none of the couple hundred powders on the market can’t do for you?
How do I get notified of the new powders?
EDIT: And most these powders do just fine. There's just so many with each having special advantages. Right now I'm keeping Blue dot for all my Autos, and gonna buy Power Pistol for 9mm and 38

I suppose the easy way is to pay attention. Hodgdon’s annual manual usually makes a big deal out of any of their new powders, so that’s pretty hard to miss. Reloaders all over the Internet make a big deal about every new one which comes out - it’s all enough in fact that I DON’T look for new powder announcements, but still find myself well notified every time something comes out.

But honestly, we’re not really closing any gaps by adding new powders. We get some of the gimmicky stuff like the carbon fouling eraser powders, temp stabilities, stuff like that, but ultimately, most of the newer powders have internal ballistic twins already on the market - some of which prove to be superior in many ways to the new stuff.

flaky powder. My familiarity with 'ball' powders is that they're usually flaky, and difficult to measure. However I know I may be wrong with classifying 800x as a 'ball' powder
Even "flattened" ball powders like W-231 are not big and flaky and generally meter well. I would suggest you need more knowledge and experience before going off the charts reloading.

Yeah this probably is not worthy of a new powder. That said I would love to see the details of what the company Seismic did to load there super heavy loads. Was it truly a new propellant, just a custom blend and/or grain size/shape or was it just a lot of load development using existing propellants? They are sort of vague on that point.
