What is going on with the price of once fired 357 SIG brass? It has doubled in the past 6 months or so. I bought several thousand when the price was down around $20-30/K, now it is at or over $50/K.

Did I miss something that is impacting it? Other brass does not seem to have increased like this so I doubt it is a material issue. The only thing I can think is that more people have started shooting the round driving up demand. That hardly seems likely since it is still considered by a lot of folks to be too finicky when reloading and something of a specialty application round.

Its not just 357sig... its everything. The fear of your best friend getting re-elected has driven the price of anything and everything gun related up

griff I agree there has been some increase across the board, but nothing like a 100% that I am seeing specific to 357 SIG brass. Another odd thing I noticed, and it could also be a supply and demand issue, is just how little of it there seems to be, especially if you do not want nickel. I prefer to reload straight brass cases after reading that nickel can flake and damage dies. I guess I just need to bite the bullet and buy another thousand, it just seems absurd to pay more than twice as much as I did a few months ago.

Let's hope that things change this November otherwise it will only get worse I bet.

The dollar value is down internationally.
A silver dime still buys a gallon of gas in silver weight value.

Question, if we can just print more money to pay governments bills, why collect taxes?

Ans, because the money devalues and it takes more of it to do less.
