i own a glock 33 and its habitually hard on its captured rod and spring assembly. after about 20 rounds the spring assembly starts to bind. does anyone else have this problem, or is it only the small frame glocks that have this problem. i bough the gun used and have only put 200 rounds through it, ive replaced the guide rod and spring twice

how many rounds do you have through your gun?

357sig and 40S&W are both hard on guns. it might be good to get a different guide rod uncaptured and a spring pack.

Don't forget the the G33 (as well as the G31 and G32) are 9x19 platforms with 357 SIG barrels and a modified breech faces. They were not designed for the 357 SIG (or .40 S&W).

Are you sure of that? I thought I had read that the 33 frame was designed to handle the extra load. Seems like you'd be asking for a lawsuit if you didn't design your gun to handle the load upon it.

In any case, my ex-girlfriend and I put many rounds through her G33 and didn't have any problems with it. Great little gun.

Never had a problem with mine while I had it. In fact, if it wasn't for problems with my right shoulder/arm and hand I wouldn't have give it up. It was a great gun, reliable and accurate.

Same frame as the G26. Basically, all Glocks except the G20/21/29/30 started off (and were designed for the) 9x19. All you have to do is just slap a different slide/barrel (and maybe a longer ejector), and lo and behold, you have a 357 SIG or .40 S&W). Glock has not designed a frame beyond the G17 and G20 (except for the G36).

Walking, best bet is to check Glock Talk.
