357 Sig reloads

Just fired 120 rounds of 357 Sig reloads. Very happy with the results. My thanks to; Striker Fired who gave me a lot of very helpful information with particular emphasis on safety. Thank you..

I had some issues with seating the shells fully but fixed that by adjusting the sizing die so the shoulder was pressed back a bit. All shells cycled through the gun (by hand) with no 'stickies'. All rounds fired but one and it had substantial hits on the primer. (three efforts) I think that I had that rare ''bad' primer. I am still having a small problem with the bullet seating. Can't figure it out. I cleaned the seating plug, hand tightened the die and am still getting small variations.Load Info is: 11.2-11.4 and11.6 gr of AA#9, col of 1.139 to 1.136. using the 125 gr.356 HAP bullet. Best accuracy was with 11.6 but 11.4 wasn't too bad either.
Last question: I lubed the cases with one shot. Do you clean /tumble them before firing? I didn't and noticed no excess accumulations in the barrel.

I clean cases after sizing but before loading to get rid of the lubricant. Then no need to clean them after loading and they are clean for shooting.

I have a pillowcase that I use to get the remnants of case lube off of my cases. Once they're loaded up and ready to go, I dump them all into the pillow case and let them roll around in it. Then I dump them back on the bench and give them their final inspections. I do find that there isn't much lube to deal with anyway, most of it rubs off on my fingers from handling the cases during the process and only trace amounts are left. I could probably skip the pillowcase step altogether, and I do sometimes.

You could also risk a visit from the boogeyman and tumble your live rounds. That's another reloader's debate. Wilson Combat's custom ammunition is tumbled after loading. I've tumbled mine on occasion and it hasn't blown up or changed operating characteristics. I can't make the decision for you, but I would tumble them if I had an excessive amount of residual case lube on them.
