OK, who shoots a .357 snub nose? What's your favorite ammo to shoot from the short barrelled revolver? I'm thinking about Buffalo Bore's light .357.

Have you checked out the M&P 340 club? You may not have that specific snub .357 but the info you can find there will be of immense help in finding the load for yours. What model do you have?

The "mild magnums" (i.e., medium-velocity loadings) are about as much as I can stand, even in a heavier, more hand-filling revolver like the Ruger SP101. These include but are not limited to the Federal 130-gr. "Personal Defense" Hydra-Shok, Winchester "white box" 110-gr. JHP, Remington Golden Saber, etc. Other loadings like the Speer Gold Dot have come out since then.

i use the "legendary" Remmington 125gr. SJHP in my 640-1, but i had it MagNa-Ported so i could shoot a box of 50 w/o my hand hurting.

+1 on Golden Saber mild magnum

You may, but I don't, like all the extra muzzle blast from full-house .357 out of a short barrel. :what: The Golden Sabers are great, but I've never tried the Buffalo Bore (I've tried and liked a lot of their other loads).

If I don't have Golden Saber around, then I find nothing wrong with .38 +P or +P+.
