Picture time. This is my shooter 38/44 Outdoorsman. Someone set it up real nice. It is a target hammer post-war with target grips and a bright finish on the gun. It has not been abused and is nicely accurate and just plain fun to shoot. All groups are 15 yrds with 50 shots, standing offhand in a modified weaver stance.
These were all 38/44 power level reloads using either SR4756, Unique or 2400. I was just playing around. From an accuracy standpoint, the SR4756 is the best but the sample size is too small to draw a solid conclusion. All loads are tossing a 158 MBC SWC right at 1150 to 1175 FPS out of this gun.
This one might just replace my original 38/44 Outdoorsman as my favorite shooter gun.
