I bought my 21 year-old daughter a S&W Model 60; 3" barrel length for self defense. Could you folks help me choose practice ammo with low recoil and some self-defense full power stuff. Thanks.....<><

For practice, get her some 148 gr. Wadcutters. Gentle as a kitten, so she'll have a nice time learning to shoot it.

For real life, get her the Speer 135 gr. Gold Dot Hollow Points:

This bullet is specifically designed to perform well in short-barreled guns like your daughter's 60, and should prove quite shootable (though a bit snappier than the wadcutters, obviously).

Hope she appreciates that her dad made an excellent choice in handguns for her and is looking out for her.

For practice 100 round Winchester 130 Grain 38 Special semi-wadcutters for Target/plinking/practice.For carry GD 135 38 Special +P as recommended earlier.
