38 SPL vs 38 SPL +P brass

I picked up a lot of once fired 38 Special +P brass. I just load light target loads in my 38s. Is there a difference between these two cases?

Someone once told me that the wall thickness was greater, to cope with the somewhat higher pressures of the +P.
However... thinking about it, I am not sure if that could be true, as it would surely mean that the bullet diameter would have be reduced for the same overall case diameter.

Case thickness, if it's thicker, will be thicker down near the head, but not up around the neck. It's not a big deal, a little less case volume. Light loads, don't worry about it, not a big difference at all.

It's the same case that regular .38 Specials. just marked from the factory so you won't load them in a gun that is only for standard .38's That only counts if it is factory fresh ammunition...After that? Who knows except the reloader...
