I picked up a lot of once fired 38 Special +P brass. I just load light target loads in my 38s. Is there a difference between these two cases?
Thanks.

Someone once told me that the wall thickness was greater, to cope with the somewhat higher pressures of the +P.
However... thinking about it, I am not sure if that could be true, as it would surely mean that the bullet diameter would have be reduced for the same overall case diameter. :scrutiny:

ATP.

Case thickness, if it's thicker, will be thicker down near the head, but not up around the neck. It's not a big deal, a little less case volume. Light loads, don't worry about it, not a big difference at all.

It's the same case that regular .38 Specials. just marked from the factory so you won't load them in a gun that is only for standard .38's That only counts if it is factory fresh ammunition...After that? Who knows except the reloader...:D

"Not that I'm aware of" Is right...
