Plan on purchasing a .380 handgun (more specific- a Ruger LCP) and was just wondering a few things about the ammo:

1. Who makes the best .380 ammo (as in fewest jame, quality, etc.)
2. What is the average cost of the stuff?

And I know already of the LCP's dislike of the +P rounds;)

Thanks!

So far my newly purchased LCP has had zero issues with ANY ammo I have used.
This includes the following:
S&B
PMC
Winchester White Box Flat Nose 95 gr.
Winchester White Box 92 gr.
Remington UMC 95 gr.
Hornady Critical Defense 90 gr.
I personally would stay away from steel case ammo and just buy whatever when you find great deals online or just head to Wal-Mart and buy the Winchester White Box and shoot heavily.
Most of these nifty little LCP's are pretty problem free about ammo.
At least this has been my case so far.

I've shot MagTech 95gr FMC through mine with no problems. I also shoot reloads through mine. Haven't experienced any ammo problems.

I have shot 1 box of Federal and 1 box of Remington UMC from my Kel Tec P3AT without any issues. I don't want to hijack this thread and turn it into a reloading one....but you asked about price. But boxes cost me right at $20 at walmart....I am now set up to reload for about $3 or $4 a box.
