What is the current estimated resale value of a 3rd gen Universal .30 Carbine in good to very good condition?
I know it's not Mil-Spec or made from USGI parts, so please don't give me the "it's a piece of crap" routine. I'm just inquiring about the resale value in the current market. Thanks.

I see asking prices for $350 - $450 around here. No one ever seems to be too interested in them.
They are a piece of crap:neener:

I have one of these as well.....been sitting in a box since the early 1980's. I have the original plastic magazine and 3 or so GI 30 round mags for it.

For $350? I'll even pay the shipping. :what:

I think I'd better see if I can move mine along as well.

I have an older Universal M-1 that I bought in the late 1990's for about $200. The only problem I have had with it is with magazines. It is finicky about other than GI mags locking up correctly. I have read that you can change the magazine latch and correct the problem but it was not enough of an irritation to move me to do something. I have not seen any sell here lately but I think, if it is in good condition and operates okay that it should sell in the $300 to $400 range.

With the prices of GI carbines climbing up around $1k for a nice one, the Universals are bringing $400-500 pretty regularly now. I don't recommend paying that much for one, but the man asked what the current resale is, and I haven't seen one sell for less than $400 for a couple years. Look at closed auctions on Gunbroker, etc.
