Will this work? I see a few Kydex IWB holsters available for N frames but none listed for the Redhawk. I know the Smith is known to be slimmer and easier carrying than the Ruger, but will the Ruger fit in the Smith holster?

The C-Tac is available for N frames:

There are also leather ones but I'm interested in kydex.

Yeah they work!

That Hoffner's Mirage is my warm weather revolver carry rig for my 4" 629. I've used it in competition, too.

I doubt a Rehawk would fit nicely in a 629 holster, but if you have a heat gun, or can borrow one, I'm sure you could make the necessary modifications to get your Redhawk to fit. Just heat it gently and insert the gun a little at a time.

But first I'd call them and ask. They do answer the phone, and I'd bet they'd make one for your gun. See the last entry in their product listing there? "ITPUMIR-SPC: State specific make and barrel length."

There's a simple trick you probably will want to do if you buy one. Look at the picture and see how both belt loops are right over the cylinder? You'll probably want to unscrew the rear one and drill a hole in the kydex back behind the cylinder bulge and bolt the loop on back there. It spreads out the anchoring points which helps the holster to rock less fore-and-aft. You can also slightly adjust the cant by where you place that hole. It makes the whole thing just a hair slimmer, too.

That'll take you 5 minutes, if you stop for a cup of coffee in the middle of it.

I really like mine!
