I got a new digital camera last week (Canon Powershot A70) and I'm looking for excuses to use it so here is one such excuse.
Shot two different 180gr .40 S&W rounds into gallon jugs filled with water to compare the expansion. The first was a Federal Hydra-Shok and the second was a Winchester Ranger SXT.
Here's the pic:
Each expanded to roughly the diameter of a penny across the longest expanse. The Winchester "peeled" down a lot further. Both expanded nicely IMO. I've been loading the Hydra-Shoks primarily but I think I may switch over to an SXT. Hope someone enjoys the results of my goofing off.
