I purchased a box of Magnus 155gr rn, my lee manual doesn't have any powders listed that I have on hand. I have blue dot, unique, SR-7625 and autoloader. Any help would be appreciated. I have checked powder manufacturers websites and no joy.

Look at the Lyman 49th Ed., the listing for 155 grain jacketed Silvertip. 5.8gr. start for Unique, 8.2gr start for Blue Dot. That Lyman saying this, not me; I don't have either of those powders.

You really need at least 3 manuals to pursue this hobby. Alliant load charts are findable online

VT is right, buy several manuals. I have 7 or 8 of them. Lee, Lyman, Hornady, and Sierra are all good ones. You need the basic tools to get started in this hobby. If you cant afford the manuals, you cant afford to reload. This is the safe and proper way. IMO

Agree with your suggestion to buy more manuals. Especially if you're stuck with Lee "data".

I have the Hornady, Lee and Lyman manuals, latest editions. Between them I can usually find what I need, which is a starting load for a powder I have and a cartridge I need data for. When doing the research I pay attention to the listed max loads too - because the manuals don't always agree.

My longtime reloading friends all seem to have accumulated at least half a dozen manuals, some of them going back a ways. They keep manuals from reloading outfits (e.g. Lee, Lyman), powder companies (e.g. Alliant, Hodgdon), and bullet makers (e.g. Hornady, Nosler, Sierra, Speer). Part of the pleasure in reloading is the preliminary research.

My Hornady 9th Ed. gives these loads for 155 grain HP XTP using Blue Dot:

1000fps (starting load) 8.2 gr.
1050 fps 8.7 gr.
1100 fps 9.2 gr.
1150 fps 9.7 gr.
1200 fps (max load) 10.2 gr.

Longshot gives best velocities, max load is 9.6 gr/ 1300 fps.

I like Blue Dot and Power Pistol for my .40 and 10mm.

rl850, welcome to THR!

The Magnus, they are lead bullets, am I correct?

For reloading lead bullets, I found the Lyman's "Pistol & Revolver Handbook, Third Edition", very helpful. It is a softback edition for around $18.
