I like it and shoot it very accurately.

It is THE most accurate rounds out of my XD-40. I have absolute confidence in it as a SD round.

As well you should. Any differences in terminal performance of the round will be less important than your performance with it.

Posting decades old links, then not even reading the data contained within them, is not going to win you my respect! You can shoot whatever ammo you wish, honestly, I could care less...Just don't ask us our opinion and then not like it when it doesn't conform to your preconconceptions....

Aparantly you failed to read all the links I posted.

In the test ran by the FBI in 1998 the Silvertip clearly met the 12" standard. How does the fact that the test was run in 1998 matter?? 12" is the same distance it was in 1998 as it will be in 2088.

The simple FACT is - In a test run by the FBI the Silvertip met the FBI's own critera.

The 180gr PDX1 failed to meet the 12" FBI requirement in a magazine run PERMA GEL test as did the Silvertip (nice of you to leave that out, but I've come to expect it on the internet). As for "modern" 180's that's about as modern of a 180gr load as it gets.

The simple FACT here is - The Silvetip and the PDX1 prouduced a little over 10" in the same test media ran by the same person a little over 3 months ago.

Your "decades" claim is nothing but a silly tactic to attempt to discredit relevent information I posted. I posted information most relevent to the performance of various .40S&W rounds and specifically the Silvertip. Some of the Silvertip data is going to be older because it's an older desgin and it's performance is an already known.

You can tell one side of the story all you want. It didn't make the 180gr bullet appreciable better than the 155gr in October of 2010.

As for preconconceptions. Your all on your own with those. I've seen nothing but opinion with NO links to factual data from you.

Its not a great performer, its fast, light, and overly expansive...

This is clearly NOT true. Your comments above read "CRAP" to me.

As far gaining YOUR respect. Do everyone a favor and put your ego in a box. I've seen your little personal propoganda war here against the theroy's of Marshall and Sanow.... I could give a crap. I'm not a rabid fan one way or the other. Fackler, Roberts and MacPherson have made more $$$ and caused more hype spending the past 10yrs disproving what Marshall and Sanow started in 92 with their little book series. Everybody in their little ballistics fight needs an evil nemisis to taunt. I don't.

To everyone else with an interest.

Take the information I posted for whatever you think it's worth... Maybe even scour around, find some info for yourself and make your own descision if XXX round is worthy of filling in your magazines.

I think many would best be served by completely disregarding the nonsense you've inculcated yourselves with from the popular gun rags, especially pertaining to lightweight high velocity ammunition!

Dude... you're right. Getting hit COM by a 155g ST .40 is just going to tickle, whereas your personal choice of XXX-Death Adder ammo will liquefy the entire torso. Sounds logical.

Your slandering Fackler, Roberts, and MacPherson, based on nothing but your dishonest innuendo, is typical of those who rely on gun magazines for their statistical data. Factual information is very threatening to them.

One thing that stands out, some of us put in a profile while others don't...

It has been obvious of late the threads seem to go down hill when arguing about posted links and their information...Some who argue have no posted information about self:confused:

Hmmm

Sorry.

LE, NRA Benefactor, and I enjoy exercising and composting as well.

Now my links to factual information should carry more weight.

I swear, you could actually post a thread about giving away free guns to 2nd amendment advocates and food to starving missionaries on this board and somehow....an arguement would start.

The posts with links to ANY data are more usefull to us than ones with just speculation. It really boils down to what ammo works good in your gun and how you do with shot placement and follow-up shots IF needed.

Maybe I'm wrong..... shouldn't be long before I hear how
