.40 S&W 165 gr Jacketed Bullet Recipes

I've got 250 of these bullets, and a buch of cleaned primed brass. I lookeg in the Speer reloading manual and also Lee's. Also checked alliant's web site. I can't find a recipe one. I have several powders on hand. Bullseye, Unique, and American Select. Does anyone load these? Surely one of these works with these powders.

The load data for 170 gr XTPs should be close enough. The data is for a heavier bullet, so the same load with a 165 gr pill will be a bit higher velocity and a little lower pressure. http://www.alliantpowder.com/reload...gtypeid=1&weight=170&shellid=1022&bulletid=64

Of the powders you mentioned, Unique would be your best best. I have a load worked up with 6.8grns Unique under a 165fmj that yields about 1150fps in a 5" barrel. Work up slowly as JHP seat deeper than FMJs and will create higher pressure.

I've shot thousands in plated and JHP in my G22 using Unique and Accurate #5 with great results. I'll check my loading log.
