Incendiary? Tracers? Or is it supposed to explode or burn on contact with the target?
Whichever, I don't see it harming the gun. Any "incendiary" qualities or properties it might have will not come into play until the bullet has at least left the barrel.
Yea, the site that sells it says it burns at 4000 degrees! I have no use for it -unless I came face to face with a 1200 pound grizzly bear and only had a pistol with me.
I don't know what good incendiary ammo would do against a bear unless you happened to spray him with some lighter fluid beforehand. If being hit with a 180 grain slug at 900 some feet per second doesn't convice the bear, a little burning phosphorus(?) won't do much to persuade him.
I was kidding, although 4000 degrees wouldn't feel "good" even for a second. I am not sure I would even try a .40 180 gr @1100 fps on a grizzly. A .44 mag or .50 are the only handgun cal's I would trust.
