As it happened, impulse combined with opportunity. I bought a Kimber Stainless Target II in 9x19 on a lark as I already have three other 1911s chambered in 9x19. A friend at work needed one, and he had something in trade. To make a long story short, I traded some cash and this:
for this:
When all is said and done, I will have about $2100 including the Kimber tied up in the SVI. It has a Schuemann barrel, BoMar rear, Dawson front, Wilson grip and ambi safeties, SVI Tri-Glide trigger, Extreme Engineering hammer, sear, and disconnect, Dawson Ice magwell, and a one-piece tungsten FLGR. The finish is Tripp Research hard chrome and the pistol only has 2500 rounds through it. And it came with all six magazines, extra followers, and a mop for the magazine bodies.
I think I did okay.
